• SBRWA was a part of the Brownfield Opportunity Area Program sponsored by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

• The Bronx River Alliance is looking to renew the Bronx River and make it a vibrant part of the community again.

• SBRWA actively supports the   South Bronx Greenway. The New Community on the Sheridan plan bases itself on similar ideas of safe bike/ pedestrian routes, access to open space and the waterfront, and sustainable communities.
